Miles

In the Garstedt district of Norderstedt, QUARTERBACK Immobilien AG is developing a modern residential and commercial building on Berliner Allee – not far from the Herold Centre. The project name ‘Miles’ alludes to the historical meaning of the term as a Roman ‘warrior’ and symbolises the challenge of creating a usage concept that complements rather than competes with the neighbouring shopping centre.

The new building project replaces a former furniture store and a residential building from the 1970s. Six upper floors are planned with around 198 high-quality residential units – 60 of which are publicly subsidised and 54 barrier-free – as well as retail space on the ground floor. An underground car park with around 160 parking spaces completes the offer. The project is aiming for the KfW 55 efficiency house standard and DGNB Gold certification.

WBRE provided comprehensive support for the project in the early development phase until 2023. Services included client consulting, location and market analyses, feasibility studies and the development of a viable utilisation concept.
