The Q207 building on Friedrichstrasse in Berlin-Mitte, designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel in 1996, is currently undergoing a far-reaching architectural redesign. Our services include project and sustainability management. The multifunctional Q207 building, which, in addition to flats and various commercial spaces, has been adapted to the use of Galerie Lafayette, extends over four lower floors and seven upper floors.

The architectural refurbishment concept developed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel provides for the insertion of an inverted glass cone, which brings more daylight into the building and makes the floor plans more open and clear. The redesign will be implemented with high sustainability targets, including compliance with the standards of LEED Platinum certification and conformity with the EU taxonomy.

New office space, which will be created from the first floor upwards, will create modern and flexible working environments. The ground floor and parts of the first basement floor are intended for retail and restaurants, while a large bicycle car park is being built on the first basement floor. The existing flats on the upper floors will be retained. A newly added roof terrace offers a sweeping view over Berlin.

A newly designed entrance area on the corner of Friedrichstrasse and Französische Strasse will serve as the main entrance to the office areas in future, giving the Q207 a clear and attractive new address.

The conversion of the renowned building has a clear focus on sustainable construction and the modernisation of the interior meets today’s design and usage requirements. The result is an attractive location for companies and businesses in the centre of Berlin.
