Motel One Antwerpen

Antwerp is Belgium’s answer to Copenhagen – on a smaller scale. The Motel One is located in the heart of Antwerp’s city center, which is home to many small-scale commercial units.

With its four floors, the hotel blends in with the surrounding skyline and consists of two almost parallel buildings that follow the street lines. The two blocks are located within a city block and complete the perimeter block development with the two blocks. On the ground floor, there is an elaborately landscaped courtyard between the two buildings, which slopes downwards towards the basement.

The two blocks are connected by the basement, which also houses the lounge, restaurant, and meeting rooms. On the ground floor, a bar and lounge adjoin the hotel lobby. This bar has a large two-story open space leading to the lounge/restaurant in the basement, where a connecting staircase for both uses is planned.
