Jenfeld Mitte

New construction of 3 residential buildings with a total of 90 rental apartments and commercial space, one of which is a residential building with 25 publicly subsidized rental apartments (IFB) as part of the new urban quarter with just over 1,000 residential units on the 35-hectare former barracks area of the Lettow-Vorbeck barracks in Hamburg Jenfeld.

The urban development concept envisages ensembles of urban townhouse types in large areas, which will be combined and strung together in a variety of ways to create a varied cityscape. Some of the barracks buildings from 1934/35 have been listed as historic monuments and are to be preserved together with the former parade ground as an overall ensemble. They are already being used by students of the Bundeswehr University. In the medium term, they are to be converted for residential and social purposes.
