Berner Straße

Two apartment blocks with 31 residential units and a total living space of 2,620 m² were built on the site at Berner Strasse 25-29 in the Rahlstedt district in the east of Hamburg. The project was completed in 2024.

The 31 residential units are spread across two buildings: 18 in the front building and 13 in the rear building. There is also an underground car park with 31 parking spaces. Between the buildings there is a 250 m² playground and a two-storey bicycle parking facility with space for 72 bicycles. The central courtyard offers residents a green area surrounded by free-growing hedges and shrubs.

The flats extend over a basement, two full storeys and two attic storeys. The ground floor flats have additional rooms in the basement with south-facing terraces and light wells. The top-floor flats are integrated into the roof as maisonettes with loggias. The flat sizes vary between 2- and 4-room flats, all with large windows for bright, friendly rooms.

The building project fulfils the KfW subsidy requirements and focuses on energy-efficient construction.

Bicon was responsible for the precise coordination of the building construction trades, quality assurance and deadline monitoring of the project.
