The Jungfernstieg 7 / Neuer Wall 1-5 building complex was built in 1904 in the Wilhelminian style as an office block. Today, the eight to nine-storey office and commercial building comprises the addresses Jungfernstieg 7 / Alsterarkaden and Neuer Wall 1-5 and is in a prominent location on the Binnenalster and the Kleine Alster. In terms of urban planning, it marks the end point of the Alsterarkaden on Jungfernstieg. The building is on the City of Hamburg’s list of monuments, although the Neuer Wall section is not categorised as a constituent part.

The lower levels house retail and catering uses, while the upper floors contain office space and doctors’ surgeries. Access is via two staircases at Jungfernstieg 7 and Neuer Wall 3. Due to the different storey heights, the building sections are partially connected internally.

Under the planning of Jan Klinker Architekten, the extension, refurbishment and tenant fit-out of the listed office and commercial building were realised during ongoing operations. Work on the property, which has a floor area of around 5,900 m², was completed in 2019.

As part of the project management, WBRE was responsible for coordinating the planning, contract award and construction work, supporting tenant planning and discussions as well as cost controlling.
