On behalf of the Hamburgischer Versorgungsfonds AöR (Hamburg Pension Fund), WBRE conducted a comprehensive technical and economic evaluation of all existing buildings at the Asklepios Klinik Altona site. The goal was to assess the buildings’ potential for alternative use and establish a basis for decision-making regarding future reuse.
For this purpose, the structural and technical conditions of the buildings – including the ward block, the perinatal center, the pathology department, and the technical building – were analyzed during an inspection. In addition, a detailed evaluation of the provided inventory documents was carried out, supplemented by economic parameters.
The findings were evaluated using the residual value method to assess the intrinsic value and potential marketing prospects. Our service included the preparation of a structured report outlining the status quo and concrete approaches to alternative use and economic viability.
With this evaluation, we laid a solid foundation for strategic decision-making regarding the sustainable and economical use of the existing buildings. A subsequent study will explore how potential for increasing the value of the area can be realized.
